CARIB
LOSING $MILLIONS
We said it before - this lock-out
is not about wages.
In their desperation to smash the
Union, Carib is wasting millions of dollars in locking-out their 900 workers.
With the employers at 12% and the
Union at 17% it would only cost Carib $4.3 million a year to concede the Union’s
position in full.
And yet they are prepared to lose
$2 million a day in locking-out workers.
Already they have spent three
times as much on terrorising their employees than it would cost to settle! Good
industrial relations or just plain old Union busting?
