The employers would have you thinking that this is only about wages. But really that is only the excuse.
In reality it’s an attack on your Union and its increasing effectiveness over the last few years.
By locking-out workers, ANSA McAL are losing millions of dollars. But they see this as an investment in undermining and breaking our Union.
If they succeed, it will not just be a question of accepting 12% - even if that still remains on the table. It will be a question of what they will be coming for next year ... and the year after ... and the year after that.
We have no choice in this struggle.
